Take this gentle video tour of New England's covered bridges. You can savor the slowly changing seasons and see the details of these heirloom bridges. Hand hewn beams held together with wooden pegs, the worn floorboards telling stories of their own. Covered bridges span streams, rivers and generations. As you view these bridges you can almost hear the echoes of across time...the hammering of the wooden pegs..the voices of our great grandparents playing by the bridges as children. You will see a railroad covered bridge with the tracks intact and the smoke vented roof.

The videographer believes in the philosophy of living slowly. You will see the reflection of a Vermont covered bridge, people walk out of it...and it starts to rain. When is the last time you noticed how a pond looks when it starts to rain? As the seasons progress you will see the foliage colors getting brighter and brighter until they almost glow. The camera will take you to a New Hampshire covered bridge on one of the first windy days of fall, and leaves will sweep past the lens.

As winter approaches a half frozen stream whispers winter is coming while a covered bridge stands its lone vigil. Winter storms frame bridges in snow as flakes float down. Approaching spring creates a record ice jam at the Windsor VT-Cornish NH Covered Bridge where the ice approaches a foot and half in thickness with chunks six feet across. You'll see The Flume Covered Bridge in the White Mountains....its stream begins to show signs of melting as the weather warms and the maple sugaring season begins.
